District Governor

Governor SuAnne Hardee Bryant

Rotary District 7600
Rotary Year 2026-2027

SuAnne Hardee Bryant was born in Norfolk, Virginia, and is the youngest of the four daughters of James and Helen Hardee. She married Kevin Bryant on April 25, 1998, and has four children: Brett, Brad, Brandi, and Brandon. Her oldest son, Brett, passed away on September 7, 2020, and is the inspiration for the 2026-2027 theme of “Live a Legaсу.”

Community and civic engagement began early for SuAnne. She was active in Masonic youth organizations and in numerous school sports, clubs, and activities throughout junior high, high school, and college. Not surprisingly, she was voted “Most Involved” among her classmates of the 1986 graduating class of Deep Creek High School. She is a graduate of Virginia Wesleyan University and California Western School of Law.

Professionally, SuAnne is a trial attorney specializing in domestic relations, labor and employment, and business and fiduciary litigation. Licensed in both Virginia and North Carolina, she practices with Davis Law Group in Chesapeake, Virginia. She is the recipient of numerous awards, such as Top Lawyers and Super Lawyers. Her favorite thing about her job is the daily opportunity to positively impact people’s lives.

A member of the Rotary Club of Chesapeake, she has been in Rotary since 2006. In addition to being a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, she is a benefactor and member of the Polio Plus Society. She served as Club President in 2011-2012 and continues to serve her club in a variety of roles, including service on the executive committee for the Chesapeake Wine Festival since its inception in 2010. She has served as a facilitator at Chesapeake Multi-District PETS from 2013 to 2018 and 2021-2023 and is both a graduate of, faculty member for, and Board member of the Mid-Atlantic Rotary Leadership Institute (MARLI). She joined the District 7600 Foundation committee for the 2013-2014 Rotary year, serving on the grants committee and the development committee. She served as the District 7600 Grants Subcommittee Chair for the 2015-2016 through 2018-2019 Rotary years. For the 2013-14 Rotary year, SuAnne was awarded the Rotary Foundation District Service Award. She served as Assistant Governor for Area 13 from 2019 to 2021. For the 2021-2022 Rotary year, she served as the District Public Image Chair and as her club’s Foundation Chair (a role in which she continues to serve). She served as the District RLI Chair from 2022 to 2024 and became the District Governor Nominee Designate in November 2023. SuAnne is also a member of the International Fellowship of Rotarian Scouters, the Vice Chair of the Rotarian Lawyer Fellowship, and is a member of RAGBOD, the Rotary Action Group for Blood and Organ Donation. Her highest honor, and biggest surprise, was receiving the Citation for Meritorious Service from the Trustees of The Rotary Foundation in 2019. She will serve as District Governor in the 2026-2027 Rotary year.

When she is not working as a trial attorney or for Rotary functions, she is busy with church or Scouting. She is a proud “Eagle Mom” to Brandon, who earned his Eagle Scout rank and is the Chartered Organization Representative for Troop 234, chartered by the Rotary Club of Chesapeake.
